zaytun3h agoPrimal is not zero-config right? It requires email which is a really unfortunate tradeoff. Obviously easily solved for most techie people but its keeping me away from onboarding people via primal.

The world is not ready to earn bitcoin. Only a few individuals are in such a glorious position.
You're bashing Alby because they are being pragmatic about the chicken and egg problem.
If you're not gonna offer a similar service then be constructive.
And if you have the balls to require people to EARN bitcoin - then have the balls to create a company that puts you in a position to actually employ people and then pay them in bitcoin.

zaytun10d agono its not man. We might disagree on whether bitcoin is money or not.
I say it its, you might say it sometimes is.
Lets be honest about disagreeing.
But under the assumption that bitcoin is money and only money except when spam finds its way through - then its not dangerous to say non-monetary data is unwanted.
On the other hand, it is dangerous to CHANGE a default setting in a major implementation of the protocol - to now signal to "spammers" that their spam is accepted on the blockchain.
If not STRICTLY necessary AND not widely accepted - dont merge changes.

zaytun13d agoI wanna use maple, but paying for a year upfront in a market where I have no idea where AI is in 3 months is a big ask.
Why not accept monthly payments, @Maple AI ? Most paying AI users are probably paying 20 bucks a month for whatever model they're using.
Accepting monthly payments at Maple would remove a big entry barrier for that entire segment.
Right now, you're asking me to let go of better models AND pay a much higher amount upfront.
You can easily fix one of those problems and have my tradeoff be *slightly worse models for better privacy".
