I don't believe Catholicism is Christianity. Not to say God's elect people can't be Catholic, just that the church itself is an apostate, Antichrist institution. From the original Westminster Confession: > There is no other head of the Church but the Lord Jesus Christ; nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself, in the Church, against Christ and all that is called God. Bro what. Christ himself gave papal authority to Peter and all of the apostles recognized this. Christ is the Godhead of the church, and the Pope is his Vicar, meaning representative. The Pope is not Christ, and has no divinity, he is only man, he does however represent him through and only through the authority and permission of Christ. All authority and salvation comes from Christ. How is this not Christian? This is supported in scripture, tradition, and early church history.

Jesus did not confer papal authority on Peter. That is a made-up inference drawn for politcal reasons. The status wasn't even formally declared by Rome until 1870 and is garbage. Peter was an apostle who maybe founded the church in Rome but was lesser in so many ways to Paul who did far more to teach the Romans about Christ.

You’re saying it’s antichrist because the church doesn’t worship Jesus, but the pope instead? Curious, because I am considering converting next year. Going through the classes later this year.

The Catholic church has been heavily infiltrated but is the only one that performs working exorcisms. It is the only remaining knowledge tank that has this real power

What? I've never heard someone make this claim, it's just historically false. Whether you believe in his authority or not, even in the early church they considered the pontiff the head of the church. By 1870 you're likely referring to the dogma of papal infallibility, but this is a rare authority that's only been used twice since. The Holy See had been in place since Peter, it was not created in 1870.

And just to clarify for the protestants by "head of the church" I mean human head, not the Godhead which is Christ. This is implied to all Catholics and Orthodox but since this point was contested earlier I'll clarify again.

We don't worship the Pope, nor any priest but Christ. Christ is the only man so we can worship as he is God. Papal authority is only so because it derives from the authority of Christ, it is never separate and cannot exist without Christ.

As a Catholic who left the church for a decade due to the rot of some of the leadership, I was drawn back for several reasons. One you receive Jesus' sacrifice in his body every time you go to mass. Two the community within the parishes are filled with amazing humans. It's our job as Catholics to run the demons out of the church
