then you are more optimistic than me on the timeline. I think we have the low-hanging fruit of people who will be interested for either technical or ideological reasons. but for the vast swathes of normies, fiat is always going to work better. until they are made to care about either inflation, privacy, or censorship resistance, you literally can’t build anything superior, as judged by criteria they care about. I don’t mean this to be too doomery. I still think we win in the end and of course all this stuff ought to be built to facilitate victory. I’m just trying to be realistic about *how* we win.

Most people will never care about the issues bitcoiners are aware of and that bitcoin fixes. It's as often a "pareto principle issue" that will lead about 20% of people waking up and using bitcoin. The other 80% remaining will follow by mimicry because they'll have to in order to not be left behind. It's the gunpowder dilemna that Saifedean recalls regularely. Either you adopt it, either you lose. You do it because the most successfull people are doing it, and are asking to be paid in it.
