Love this idea. My only thought is that for most people, setting up nodes is still way beyond what they understand. We need kinda simpler, transitional step.
I’m actually working on a project helping people carve out independent digital space in authoritarian countries, where access is already filtered through "white lists" with only government-approved websites. Would really value it if you tried it and shared your thoughts, you seem like someone who really gets this stuff
Revocation really is the hard edge here. Once someone decrypted the data, it’s game over. Reminds me of the PGP model from the 90s: strong guarantees, but sharing was always explicit and manual.

Agree with you. Resistance needs tools that survive censorship and bank freezes.
I’m actually working on a project that helps people carve out independent digital space in authoritarian countries. There’s already an MVP: an onboarding for people starting from zero that ends with a self-custody BTC wallet and sats. Would really value it if you tried it and shared your thoughts⚡
IMHO, the biggest problem is that onboarding is monopolized by KYC platforms. They run the biggest acquisition funnels. So millions meet Bitcoin for the first time through passport uploads
