Yes, it is, but not with current tooling. You can't build a long lasting civilization where critical infrastructure just stops working every 6 years. And you can't build long lasting infrastructure with external dependencies and an industry that chases fashion.
The phase we are in is a necessary process in the development of computing technology. But we had better start looking at how to build our shit out of stone, figuratively speaking.
