It's the same reason you cannot trust someone in politics who's personal life is in shambles. I didn't say local politics is the ONLY focus, but your immediate environment must be set straight first. No one is going to want to have trade routes with you if they are harassed whenever they come through/to your town. I didn't say nostr makes politics irrelevant, I said it's application in local politics is needed. Currently in many jurisdictions, it's difficult to even know what the existing law is. If those were open and signed that would be a benefit. Add blossom in the mix and you're getting somewhere
