what's funny is that they told us that the T14S (what they sent me) sells for more, so it's worth it - the compensation was for the worse CPU that they shipped in this. but i really mainly want the T14 for the upgradeability with the RAM, and easily swappable parts.

they've now replied offering a £20 compensation... gonna message them back and ask if we can just send back this laptop and receive the correct laptop when my mum's back. also LOL, there's a vinyl wrap on the back & trackpad, wonder what's underneath [Quoted 2026-03-11 16:19 UTC] > New Thinkpad is here! this is starting to feel pretty scummy 😭 - i assumed Amazon Renewed would check through this stuff, clearly not as much as i'd thought. i mean, don't get me wrong, this is still a good laptop, but yeah the issues in the quoted thread put me off it :P
