Everyone’s praising the State for fixing what foreign puppets broke in the Sahel — and fair enough, big change sometimes needs a central force. But let’s not pretend the answer is just “more government.” The real issue was never public vs. private — it was control. A big government can still be a foreign puppet. A free market can still be rigged. The solution isn’t about size — it’s about building a system that can’t be hijacked. Power must be decentralized, transparent, and rooted in the people — or history will just repeat itself in a new uniform.
