Yeah, do color calibration features or 5k signal processing alone require a recent iPhone chip? HomePod mini runs on an Apple Watch chip and that processes voice commands partly at least. AirPlay or otherwise wireless connectivity would just seem ideal for iPad and casual use. Does the electronics industry have an open standard wireless protocol?
