the only post from her shortly before the suspension that I still see cached on my machines is [this one](https://piaille.fr/@Gardenia/116220664551246484) (cached version in the screenshot). I mean, perhaps it wasn't needed to tag that many people (including the instance admins) in a crude post about war, but reacting to something like this with a suspension seems quite excessive. @Admin Piaille I know that Solene may be sometimes perceived as abrasive, but she's been an important part of the community on your instance and her support to #GazaVerified has been invaluable. I don't believe that she's the kind of person whose "aggressive manners" would ever escalate into a threat to anyone else. If you believe otherwise, may I at least ask you to temporarily lift the suspension so she can move her profile to another instance without losing her network?

was any reason attached for the suspension in the notification email?

There's a simple way for Westeners to solve many problems in the #MiddleEast. It's to start caring about the impact of those wars on human lives as much as we care about their impact on the price of a barrel of oil.

I know, but I've also been hearing the same story since 2007 (from the time I bought my first Nokia 770) and not much has changed since then. There's always been this chicken-and-egg problem where not enough developers would put efforts in making Linux phones usable unless there's a phone manufacturer that is also onboard with it, which funds the efforts instead of relying on devs building PostmarketOS or Sailfish workarounds to work with cameras and modems in their spare time, and which ensures that the efforts of the developers aren't thrown to waste when the next model comes out. Oh, and as long as we can't tell people that their banking apps or national ID apps will also keep working on a Linux phone. Librem and Jolla are the closest we've come to hardware manufacturers actually invested in a Linux phone, but they're still too small, rough around the edges and overpriced for the bad hardware that they sell (and that's the other chicken-and-egg problem, in order to be competitive on pricing you need economies of scale, and you can't have economies of scale around new products and processes).

oh I think I see a potential issue here: https://merveilles.town/nostr:npub17w6mc9753nnur2uzf0qrfzโ€ฆ I used to use WriteFreely on that ActivityPub domains before but now it's on Madblog, of course with a different signing key. I see that your instance still cached some old posts of mine from the time the blog was on WriteFreely, but I can't search for new URLs. I think that something off is happening on your instance because I can see that the cached version of my blog profile has now the updated profile fields (so it accepted the updates from my blog), but the latest cached post is from 2024 (and I've written more since then, both on WriteFreely and Madblog) and it can't find new ones.

oh I see, that sounds weird though, many other people could interact already...could it be that you're in a MITM configuration with some corporate or private VPN injecting SSL certificates at runtime? I have similar issues when I browse from my corporate VPN domains that my VPN hasn't whitelisted yet - then it'll try to inject an invalid certificate

I mean if you open the home page of your blog from a normal browser (any browser, mobile or desktop) do you still see the certificate error? If that's not the case and you have a split domain configuration (so your blog is on a URL and your federated domain is on another) then double-check that both the certificates are valid.

Madblog esiste gia' da un po' di anni, ma finora l'ho usato perlopiu' a titolo personale per gestire i miei blog. Con il supporto per la federazione ho deciso di annunciare il progetto un po' piu' pubblicamente.

#Samsung devices from today can no longer install custom ROMs. Odin is gone and the _Download Mode_ is also gone, which makes life hard also for repair services that want to restore a device. This is your daily reminder that #Android is a liability, and major hardware manufacturers who ship Google's version of Android are a liability too. We need to get Linux phones to work, and we need manufacturers who are aligned with our principles. https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-disables-odin-reโ€ฆ
