" i thought we're trying to do better than the dollar ? when Ron Paul was asked a related question he said money should be backed by " a basket of commodities " that was a good answer for a 80 year old, but actually it should just be backed by the cost of electricity - which is the most fundamental commodity now and for the foreseeable future.
