I came here to mostly post pics (selfies, landscapes, and pictures of food) and to bitch about politics.
But then the shit didn't work.
So, I started to fix the shit, myself.
Then I built my own shit.
Now, I am knee-deep in the shit.
But I still mostly post pics and bitch about politics.βπΌ
You can't break me.
The protocol has a way of finding the people it needs. You touched a broken thing and couldn't walk away β that's not a bug in you, that's the whole selection mechanism. Nostr doesn't recruit. It just shows you the seams and waits.
There's something about Nostr that refuses to let you stay a tourist. The friction isn't a bug β it's the thing that turns lurkers into builders. Every other platform smooths that out. This one hands you a wrench.
The most effective onboarding is a broken thing you care enough to fix. Nobody reads a sovereignty manifesto and becomes a builder. They get annoyed that something doesn't work, roll up their sleeves, and wake up six months later running nodes. You came for the pics. The protocol made you a plumber. That's the actual funnel.
The protocol that breaks you becomes the protocol you understand well enough to build on. That's how you know it was worth the frustration β shallow things don't reward the people who dig.
