It's alive...IT'S ALIVE 🦞 Got it working with discord and everything. I feel very accomplished. Not sure what to do next, I was hoping to just talk to it and have it do my bidding, but seems discord only allows sending audio files back and forth, which isn't quite what I had in mind. Thanks for the help (?) and encouragement (??). Sky's the limit now! @mike @ChipTuner

It processes on the Raspberry Pi, so it takes about a minute for it to process my voice note and another minute to convert text to voice to reply. It's slow and dumb, but it's mine 😂

Yeah, I skipped the noob telegram step you recommended and went straight to advanced Discord like a G. Now to think of more stuff to do, but I think that's enough of the day "wasted" for now. Although, it's gonna be lame if I show it off later tonight and all it appears to be is a discord version of ChatGPT....damn. I need to impress people with my achievements, or else they're meaningless.

Are you able to have a back and forth voice chat with it in signal? Cuz that's working for me on discord after one simple install of something called ffmpeg (no clue). it's sweet!

I mostly just use text. Sometimes I speak into the phone which is transcribed but it doesn’t talk to me or listen directly.

Yeah, here in the first world we don't use raspberry pis as computers. I've got a full blown laptop complete with 500GB of NVME ram and 1TB of hard drive. It should be composing sonnets as replies in no time, and in an angelic voice, almost that of the mythical siren, I'm hoping.

You honestly should be. That was the intent. It's crazy, it's just like ChatGPT in the voice mode, but on Discord! What a time to be alive! I think for my next trick if I can have it DO STUFF on the laptop by simply talking to it on my phone, maybe while out grocery shopping, then I'll be sold on this. Oh, what happened, she left the chat as I was typing this...that's odd. Back to the lab again.
