I urge you all to have more children. There’s a Swedish study based on data from the 19th century that showed that the number of children you have to have to be reasonably statistically assured that you will have living descendants in a century is 5: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S104026… I believe that there are additional hazards to fertility of your heirs now in an age of birth control, microplastics, and elective genital surgery, so you might want to have 6 or more to offset them. But the statistical floor that we know of is 5. Have at least 5 kids.
