I wrote up how I built a pay-per-request scraping API using Apify Actors + FastAPI + the x402 payment protocol. No accounts. No API keys. AI agents pay $0.05 USDC per request directly in the HTTP header. The HTTP 402 status code is finally doing what it was designed for.
