I also think many people confuse art with ego and commerce. You get paid a high salary because you work on something that makes even more money. That's all that matters in that context and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Humans still play and enjoy chess even though a machine is better. But that doesn't make it a marketable skill that everyone will be paid a lot to do. I think we're seeing humanity struggle to redifine itself in an era where manual work is losing it's role in identify development. I am Matt. I am not what I do. There is a part of me in what I do, but less so than there used to be as more is automated. The transition will be weird and painful, as it always has been.
